20/20 Magagine debuts the new Marc Ecko Cuts & Sew Eyewear collection and interviews Marc, but there's a catch...they asked Marc Ecko to give a range of "real" guys from their magazine a total eyewear makeover. 20/20 was so impressed with Marc that he landed on the cover.

Now for the makeover of the "real" guys. They were easy, yet challenging in age range and attitude: the men of 20/20's publisher Marc Ferrara and his sons Michael and Matt.

Marc Ecko walked in to Eagles Nest Studio in New York greeted by a table full of Cut & Sew Eyewear, overflowing racks of Ecko apparel, 20/20’s ace portrait and fashion photographer Stephen Sullivan, and the 20/20 edit/art team ready to document Marc Ecko delivering the look of Ecko. In Rio de Janiero for his big fight, he made time to stop by the Children of the Tropa Muay at Tijuquinha with large duffel bags stuffed with t-shirts from Ecko Unltd. and training gear from RevGear and Everlast. 

The gym or as it’s known in Rio, the Tropa Muay Thai project, is not the usual gym you expect to see in the USA. This one is sparce, minus the fancy gear, mats, bags, gloves and such. It’s outdoors. Under a tin roof. On a concrete floor. No amenities, just the children and their teacher, with makeshift hand wraps, a couple of lights and a concrete basketball court.

Schaub made his way around the concrete handing out gloves, and helping some of the youngest students put them on using hand motions. In return, he was met by smiles that have no language barrier.

The poverty is Brazil is hard to ignore. And although Schaub was in Brazil for a fight that could change the course of his life, he kept his heart open and did what he could to help.

Schaub was signed as the spokesperson for Ecko’s MMA apparel line this month. “Brendan is a great addition to the Ecko family,” says Eric Samson Sports Marketing Manager for Ecko. “Brendan embodies the Ecko DNA both in competition and outside. We’re happy to welcome such a great new partner as well as his whole team into Marc Ecko Enterprises.”
